Losing it

I joined Weight Watchers the first of January and I am determined to lose all the baby weight and then some. Well currently I am down 17.2 lbs! in 5 weeks! I am SO thrilled. Clothes are feeling looser and I can see it in my face. I also have a much higher energy level. It's been super simple and I have been cooking a lot more at home and it's been fun finding yummy, low fat recipes. My goal is 50 lbs, but at least 35 lbs by the summer (end of June). I have always wanted to lose weight, of course, for myself, but I think now I am more motivated than ever because of my kids. The best reason I think.

First trips

Steve and I have had passes to the San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park for quite awhile now and it's been so much fun finally going as a family. Esther's first trip to WAP was when she was about a month old, and Gideon's first trip to the zoo was just a week ago (at almost 2 months). I love this over the shoulder shot. Don't they look a lot alike??

Our little man

Well Gideon is smiling and he just can't seem to stop. He is just such a happy little kid. So much fun.

I love when they sleep with their little butts in the air.
Gideon even has game when he's asleep.

A new ride

For Christmas, Steve's parents got us a bike trailer that also converts to a double jogging stroller. It's so great...can't wait for both the kids to use it. We finally got Esther a helmet and Steve was so excited to take Esther out on her first ride.

Esther has her bunny...she's ready to go.

Gideon finally meets his cousins

Eric, Pia and the kids came down last month to meet the newest Crandell. It was such a great time. Matilda and Colt are SO wild about Esther and Gideon. I love just watching them all interact....it's so special.

Gideon is entralled by his Auntie Pia.

While everyone was down, we celebrated Matilda's 8th birthday. But of course, Esther thought it was all about her.

Gideon and his Nana.

Of course, we all hit the park together. Honestly, some of the best memories I have of Esther and the kids are at the park. Can't wait for Gideon to be included in those.
