2nd Trimester...WOOHOO!!

These last 3 months have been rougher than with Esther. I was definately tired when I was pregnant with Esther and had some nausea, but with this one I had more severe nausea and just exhausted..might have something to do with having a one year old too..hmmm. Anyway, I am starting to feel better. Last time around, Steve was in Mississippi my whole 2nd trimester and he missed the "feeling good Kindra", so this time I am glad that he gets to see me with more energy and less nausea. I actually ENJOYED cleaning all the floors in the house yesterday, even with a cold.
So I think this will be a good time to start getting ready for the new little one. Our spare room is going to be Esther's room and the nursery will remain the nursery since it is neutral and again we are not going to find out what we are having. So we need to clear out the room for Essie and paint the walls and then make room for all the crap we did have in there. Also we wanted to get the last of the laminate flooring in ourhouse put in our bedroom and we know it would be wise to do it before the baby comes. So projects, projects, projects...good times!

Life is precious

I mentioned in a post awhile back that I was not only participating in the Relay for Life for my mom and dad but also for my friend Heidi's mom. She has been battling pancreatic cancer for awhile now and today she went home to be with the Lord. Heidi is someone I actually knew in high school but we weren't really close, even though our brothers were like best friends growing up. Anyway, Heidi and I reconnected through MOPS and become even closer being on the Steering team together. She has been such a dear friend and confidant. It broke my heart when I got the news today, but it also was a total answer to prayer since her mom has been dealing with extreme paranoia, anxiety and pain and it's been SO difficult on Heidi's father.
I wanted to post this because I not only wanted you all to know so you could be praying for the Miller family and the Hutchenson family, but also as a reminder to take the time to appreciate our parents because they aren't always going to be there. Heidi and her mom were as close as my mom and I are and I know she always thought her mom would be there, at least for another 20 years or so and now her life is never going to be the same. So if it's been awhile since you have told your mom or dad that you love then, pick up the phone and just get in the car and drive over there and tell them......because you never know.

Also another prayer request: A family at our church lost their little 3 year old boy, Daniel last week when he climbed up a chest of drawers and it fell on top of him and crushed him. Please keep the Munoz family in your prayers as they are grieving terribly. Just another tragedy to remind us that life is short.

December 4th is the Big Day

Well I had my first OB appointment today and it went GREAT. The doctor that delivered Esther had retired and after I was done mourning that fact I had to find someone new and I was a bit apprehensive. But Dr. Avants is wonderful. I think she is going to be a great doctor for me. Well my due date is December 4th and we saw the baby on the sonogram and she said everything looked perfect, even though I am supposedly 11wks and 5 days along and the baby looked like it was 12 wks and 5 days along..so did I miscalculate something??? Hmmm? Well anyway it finally makes it real! As with Esther, we don't want to find out what we are having, which is really exciting and we are just looking forward to Esther being a big sister and adding another sweet child to our family.

My 2 Moms

Since it's Mother's Day and of course it gets you thinking, I thought I would put down my thoughts on my 2 Moms. Of course there is my mom Mom, and honestly, I couldn't have picked out a better mother if I had done it myself. I love spending time with her and when we are both so busy, I miss just running errands with her or just stopping by and chatting for a bit. I love that all my friends adore her and I love that she is a mentor at my MOPS group and I love that we have the same sense of humor and I laugh with her unlike with anyone else. I love that she LOVES Esther and that Esther's face lights up with she sees her Amma. And as much as she can push my buttons unlike anyone else, I couldn't imagine my life with her.
Then there is my mother in law. When I hear about other women's mother-n-laws, and some of the problems they have, I think how blessed I am. She is one of the most giving and helpful people I know. When Steve and I started dating, I knew she would be a GREAT mom-n-law. Her and my father-n-law have started watching Esther on Wednesday nights so Steve and I can go to our bible study and I love that she has so much fun with her and that Esther will start to look foward to those weekly nights seeing her Grandma and Grandpa. If Judy sees something that needs to be done around my house, she does it and now that I am pregnant, she is always offering to help with anything to lighten my load of the day.
And what is the neatest thing is that both my moms live within 10 minutes of our house. When I was growing up, both my grandmas lived near by and I have always wanted that for Esther and now I have it. And what better women to have Esther look up to then 2 women who love God with all their heart and serve Him and others. Thank you Moms, life is so much sweeter with you 2 in it!!

Another Crandell on the way!

Steve and I are expecting a new little one!!! We found out the day we were leaving for Texas and that puts me at 10 weeks. We are SO excited. There was a time we didn't even know we would have "an Esther", much less 2. God is so good and we are looking forward to being a family of 4!

A Fun Weekend in S.D.

This past Sunday and Monday, Steve, Esther and I went with my parents to San Diego. The main reason we went is both Steve and my dad are HUGE fans of the Red Bull Air Races. Steve records them off the tv all the time and when I heard they were going to be in San Diego (one of the 2 places in the US they race), we bought tickets. As fun and amazing as it was, we had NO idea how insane it would be. There were over 63,000 fans there and no seating or bleachers. Just a big grass area and no shade and it was pretty sunny that day. I am glad we went and the guys had an AWESOME time, but as you can see Esther hit her limit toward the end of the day.

On Monday, we used our season passes to the San Diego Zoo. It was a great day and perfect weather...all the animals were so active. And we found out, our little Esther has a special place in her heart for monkeys....all kinds!

We have a walker!!!

Well, our little baby girl is walking!! She is all over the place. She was doing the cruising thing for awhile and then 2 weeks ago she just went for it. And now she pretty much walks across the whole room and down the hallway, not holding onto anything. And she is so proud of herself when she does it. If you say, "Esther walk to Mommy", she comes towards you with the biggest grin. But of course the animals can't get away as easily as they could before, so the cats are learning that higher ground is better.
We also used some credit card points and purchased a gate (hoping to get it in the next couple days) to keep her limited to the family room when we can't watch her. Since our new room is pretty much kid-friendly, it will be nice to have something to contain her in besides chairs and ottamans which she is slowly learning to climb over. This is such a big milestone and we can't believe that she is growing up so fast. Time really does fly by.
