Summer in Morro Bay

A couple weeks ago, 4 of the Crandell 8 went up to housesit for my brother in Morro Bay. Anytime we can get up there and out of the heat it's a treat. It's the next best thing to living there.

About a week before we got to my brother's we found out they had adopted a 4 month old kitten named Bing. Needless to say, he was a big hit with the kids. Us too..just probably not as much because we had to do all the work. :)

The second day we went to the beach in Cayucos and we had first row seats to watching some pelicans, sea lions and dolphins filling their bellies. So incredible. If you look closely you can see some sea lions.

Gideon IS a big fan of the sand..and it goes EVERYWHERE!!

Gideon knows that even in his sleep he can't let go of his toy...less the monster known as Esther will steal it away.

Steve's parents came up in the middle of the week to spend a couple nights and it was SO fun showing them this area of the coast we adore so much. We got some GREAT shots of Esther and her Gramma and Grampa...and good ol' Morro Rock.

Gideon is an ol' pro at crawling now. He started crawling 2 days before we left and totally got the hang on it when we were up there.

Eric, Pia and the kids were able to come home a day before we headed home, so we had to get all the Laurie time in we could.

I still can not believe we got a picture of all 4 cousins looking at the camera at the same time...it's a MIRACLE!! (oh and of course it had to include Bing.)

All and all it was a wonderful time up in one of our favorite places. I didn't want to come home........
