We have a walker!!!

Well, our little baby girl is walking!! She is all over the place. She was doing the cruising thing for awhile and then 2 weeks ago she just went for it. And now she pretty much walks across the whole room and down the hallway, not holding onto anything. And she is so proud of herself when she does it. If you say, "Esther walk to Mommy", she comes towards you with the biggest grin. But of course the animals can't get away as easily as they could before, so the cats are learning that higher ground is better.
We also used some credit card points and purchased a gate (hoping to get it in the next couple days) to keep her limited to the family room when we can't watch her. Since our new room is pretty much kid-friendly, it will be nice to have something to contain her in besides chairs and ottamans which she is slowly learning to climb over. This is such a big milestone and we can't believe that she is growing up so fast. Time really does fly by.
