Our Thanksgiving actually didn't start ON Thanksgiving, even though Steve's brother and his wife stopped by on Thanksgiving night. Since Steve had to work Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate on the Friday after, but Scott and Kristy were in town and Esther just HAD to see her Uncle and Auntie. They stopped by for a little "tea time" and to read Esther a bedtime story.
This year, my best friend of 20 years JoAnna and her family joined us for dinner. It was SUCH a blessing. Since my brother lives far away, we rarely spend holidays with them. So this was a special treat to have my "sister" here and her hubbie and kids. Esther and Gideon ADORE Sarah, Micah and Seth and it just felt more like home with all the kids running around and being crazy. Might sound odd, but all that commotion warms my heart.
